After over 30 years working as a GP in North Dublin and the last 14 years in Drumcondra Village Medical Centre – I am retiring on 31st December 2024.
I am delighted to announce that Dr. Linda Kearney will take over the running of the practice, ably assisted by Dr. Ian Mulvihill – the newest member of our team.
The remainder of the team will remain the same with Berna and Olive at reception and Maria our nurse – recently returned from maternity leave.
All medical card patients on my list will automatically be transferred to Dr. Kearney’s list at the end of this year – this has been arranged with the HSE.
The practice will continue on exactly as it has done – except I will not be sitting in my usual chair.
It has been a great privilege to look after so many of your for so many years and to see you go on your life journeys. I remember also those who have sadly passed away, they are not forgotten.
I will really miss my job as GP, particularly the patient interactions, which have always been the favourite part of my job.
I feel very secure in passing the baton to Linda – as you all know she is a wonderful doctor – kind and compassionate – and I know she will continue to take very good care of you as she has already done over the past 6 years.
It is very hard to say good-bye and I will really miss all the staff, patients and their families. I have many plans for my retirement and I look forward to having the time and health to enjoy them.
Thank you for the wonderful memories.
Dr. Teresa Coll
